Which is why Liv’ magazine is currently at the top of my “obsessed with the Dutch” list. I picked up an English-language translation of the magazine this winter, and I keep coming back to it.
It’s foxy in a way I’ve never seen in an American travel magazine, which seem have an overriding compulsion to cover cruises, golf courses, and Disneyland (subjects that must be big with their retiree-heavy demographic, but definitely don’t speak to me). Liv’ feels like a fashion magazine dressed up to talk about travel.

To be perfectly honest, an inordinate percent of the motivation for why I’m learning Dutch comes down to wanting to read stylish Dutch magazines like this one.
